I currently have a selection of pen and ink drawings by Norwegian artist, Bente Sandtorv available for sale in London.  They are priced between £150 and £300 and make wonderful Christmas presents. Please see the artworks or artists section for drawings for sale. Sandtorv is based in the beautiful Norwegian coastal town of Bergen.   Sadly, I am unable to go there in person at the moment but I had the pleasure of an interview with her over the phone.

It feels good to be back in London and to see museums and galleries gradually opening up again and holding exhibitions with controlled numbers in the gallery rooms.  There are exciting exhibitions with a Nordic connection taking place in Europe; the Royal Academy currently has a wonderful exhibition of Impressionist paintings from the Ordrupgaard Collection, north of Copenhagen, assembled by the passionate Danish business man, Wilhelm Hansen in the early twentieth century.  There are several works here that have never been seen in the U.K. before and the exhibition is well worth a visit.

I am launching this website at an extraordinary time- COVID-19 is raging throughout the world and the U.K and the majority of European countries are in lockdown. Yet while we can't go to art galleries or museums at the moment, we can look and read about art online.  The website www.cadoganfinearts.com displays Nordic artworks that I currently have for sale.  My blog will sometimes discuss works that I am selling but I also want to talk about Nordic art works in public collections  and help raise awareness of Nordic art exhibitions and cultural events that are taking place in the U.K. and elsewhere in the world.  I hope you enjoy reading the blog and browsing through the artworks on the website.
