Leena who was born and grew up in Harjavalta, Satakunta in South West Finland, has been based in London for most of her adult life. She creates sculptural and functional ceramics characterised by simple forms and bold surfaces. Drawing from her printmaking background, she often incorporates mono-printing techniques using coloured clays and minerals to achieve textured surfaces and subtle tonal variations.
