Carl Sigurd Ring (known as Sigurd Ring) studied at Valand Academy of Art in Gothenburg from 1900-1905 and then in Paris. He is best known for his portraits, still lives and views of the landscape in Bohuslän on the West Coast of Sweden. Ring participated in exhibitions in Paris and Copenhagen as well as in his native Sweden.
