Provenance

The collection of Björn och Brita Petersson.

Literature

Illustrated Sandström, Sven, Ivar Arosenius, Albert Bonniers förlag, Stockholm, 1959, p.77.

David Lundahl (1880-1909) was a violinist and painter who was close friends with Arosenius and part of a Bohemian circle living in Gothenburg during this period.  Here he is sitting in Arosenius's studio enjoying a break, in front of a sketch of one of Arosenius's typically luxuriant nudes.  An easel hovers over his head.
